Victim Recounts Brutal Attack Outside Solihull Nightclub
A man who suffered a severe ear injury outside Popworld in Solihull is still waiting for justice more than 16 months after the attack. The victim was assaulted by two men on Poplar Road in the early hours of March 1, 2025, after intervening to help his girlfriend.

The victim told BirminghamLive that he found his girlfriend crying outside the club following an argument. He said two men were 'trying to pressure her into a taxi' when he stepped in. The situation escalated, and one of the suspects bit off the top part of his ear. 'I've got to walk around with half an ear missing for the rest of my life,' the victim stated.
In the week following the attack, the victim suffered a breakdown and was unable to work. He expressed frustration that detectives had not done more to find the attackers, claiming the case had been 'shelved' by police.

West Midlands Police confirmed that no arrests have been made 'at this stage' and continue to appeal for information.
