New details have emerged about the final hours of former The Only Way is Essex star Jake Hall, who died in Majorca at the age of 35. Friends have revealed that he was dealing with mental health issues in his final months.
Last Trip to Majorca
Jake Hall, who called the Balearic island his 'healing island' after living there as a child while his parents invested in property, had traveled to the small town of Santa Margalida with a group of friends on Tuesday, May 5. The group spent time partying at a villa before heading to Palma, the island's capital, approximately 40 minutes away. They returned to the villa, reportedly rented solely in his name, in the early hours of the morning.
Final Social Media Post
During the party, Jake posted a video on Instagram showing clips of himself and his eight-year-old daughter River, whom he shared with ex-partner Misse Beqiri. His last post included the caption: "Life is b******s sometimes but I’m gonna try to remember the good things."
Events of the Night
According to reports, a neighbor passing the property on foot at 4:40 am on their way to work noticed the group playing loud music with the front door shutters open. Another local passing at 6:30 am reported the party was still ongoing. However, at around 7:15 am, a 70-year-old construction worker neighbor heard a huge commotion, including loud bangs and glass smashing, followed by the music stopping abruptly.
The witness, known only as Rafael, said he heard no screams but ran into the property to help. "I could then see a body lying on the patio surrounded by a pool of blood," he recalled. Rafael stated that Jake's friends were in the street shouting for help, and Jake had cuts covering his body. Despite efforts to save him, Jake died at the scene.
Investigation and Autopsy
The witness claimed there were no signs of drugs or alcohol in the property. A private autopsy has been conducted, but the nature of Hall's death means it is likely to be referred to a coroner upon return to the UK, which would produce a toxicology report and an official cause of death.
