Tommy and Lucy first connected during the infamous Casa Amor twist. They decided to couple up, but their time in the villa was brief. In a tense moment, the power to dump a couple was given to fellow islanders Shakira Khan and Ty Isherwood, who chose to send Tommy and Lucy home.
Despite fan speculation that a controversial pre-villa voice note from Lucy would cause an immediate split, Tommy publicly defended her, calling the situation "blown out of proportion." For a short while, it seemed their bond might survive outside the villa.

Days after their Love Island Aftersun appearance, tabloids confirmed the couple had parted ways. Lucy hinted at the split in a TikTok video, lip-syncing to a monologue about not taking relationships seriously to avoid getting hurt.
The confirmation came from their friend and co-star, Lauren Wood. In a video, when asked about Lucy's relationship status, Lauren stated plainly: “No, she’s no longer with Tommy. They’re just not together anymore. He couldn’t behave himself.” Lucy echoed this sentiment off-camera, adding: “Yeah he couldn’t behave himself.”
