School pupils in Wolverhampton are eligible to sign up for free activity programmes taking place at City of Wolverhampton College during the summer holidays. The courses will be held at the college's Wellington Road campus in Bilston, running from Monday, August 17 to Friday, August 21 and Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28, each day from 9am to 1pm.
Activities Tailored by Age Group
Sessions are designed for two age groups: children aged 5-10 and young people aged 11-16. The programme includes physical activity sessions, team games such as glow-in-the-dark football, dodgeball, and badminton, as well as fun interactive learning sessions and creative tasks aimed at improving confidence. Participants will also attend sessions on healthy eating, learning about the importance of a balanced diet, hydration, and making positive food choices.
Free Healthy Lunches Provided
Sessions will be split according to age, and all attendees will receive a free healthy packed lunch each day of the course. The activities are funded through City of Wolverhampton Council's Holiday Activities and Food programme and will be delivered by qualified staff with experience working with children in sports and educational settings.
Places are subject to funding eligibility criteria and must be reserved in advance. Bookings can be made at Summer 2026 HAF Activities @ COWC with City of Wolverhampton College via Eequ.
