LWA's popular Loughborough Colour Run is set to return for its ninth year, with hundreds of participants expected to take part at Charnwood College. Open to adults and children of all abilities, the 5km event welcomes runners, joggers, and walkers looking to enjoy a colourful day out while raising funds for the charity.
Following a surge in popularity last year, organisers have introduced two start waves at 11:15am and 11:30am. Tickets are available from £12. The event will be officially opened at 11am by the High Sheriff of Leicestershire, with guest speakers appearing on stage from 10:45am.
Participants will take on a route featuring giant inflatables, coloured powder stations, obstacles, and challenges, before receiving a finisher's medal at the end of the course. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments, stalls, face painting, and live entertainment throughout the day. A free mass yoga session led by Lynz Brierley will take place later in the afternoon to help participants unwind after the run.
Emily Wheatley, head of fundraising for LWA, said: "This is a great summer family event and a highlight in the Loughborough calendar. What better way to spend your Sunday than running through rainbow colours and inflatables, all while raising money for a charity which supports thousands of local people."
