The glitterball trophy dream is over for Gladiator star Harry 'Nitro' Aikines-Aryeetey, who became the sixth celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2025 during the Week 7 results show.
The Final Dance-Off
During the results broadcast on Sunday, November 9, the bottom two were revealed. The dreaded dance-off pitted athlete and Gladiator favourite Harry and his professional partner Karen Hauer against RuPaul's Drag Race UK star La Voix and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec.
This pairing mirrored the bottom of the judges' leaderboard from Saturday night's live show, suggesting the public vote largely agreed with the professional assessments. For one last chance at salvation, La Voix and Aljaž reprised their Foxtrot to 'Make Your Own Kind of Music' by Cass Elliot. Meanwhile, Harry and Karen performed their Samba to 'Samba' by Gloria Estefan.
Judges' Unanimous Verdict
Following the repeat performances, the judges delivered their verdict. Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood, and Shirley Ballas all chose to save La Voix and Aljaž, sending Harry and Karen home.
This series features a new judging twist where the casting vote, used to break ties, rotates among the panel. For Week 7, Motsi Mabuse held that power. However, with the decision being unanimous, her casting vote was not required. She confirmed that she, too, would have voted to save La Voix.
A Grateful Exit
Speaking after his exit was confirmed, Harry paid a heartfelt tribute to his professional partner. He said, "I just want to thank Karen, genuinely, you have given me an opportunity to shine. You’ve understood my crazy brain."
"I’m such a logical person, trying to dance – and obviously doing what I do: Olympic sprinter, Gladiator – now I’m trying to be a dancer," he continued. "I just want to thank you so much for the time and effort, the hard work that you’ve given to me. You show up, you turn out. I want to thank everyone here. Literally, this has been a dream come true. This is a celebration."
The competition continues next week as the remaining nine couples fight to avoid the dreaded dance-off and secure their place one step closer to the Glitterball Trophy.
