Strictly Stunner: Vicky Pattison Dances to the Top
Reality TV star Vicky Pattison delivered what judges called the 'dance of the night' on Saturday, November 8th, securing the top position on the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard. The former Geordie Shore personality, 37, and her professional partner Kai Widdrington earned an impressive 39 points for their powerful Tango, performed to a Taylor Swift track.
Judges Left Speechless by 'Immaculate' Performance
The judging panel was unanimous in its praise for the couple's routine. Craig Revel Horwood declared it 'perfect', while Anton Du Beke admitted he was 'a bit stunned' by the quality of the performance. He went on to compliment Pattison's line, calling it the 'best line I've ever seen' and describing the dance as 'immaculate'.
Motsi Mabuse and head judge Shirley Ballas both named it their 'dance of the night'. Mabuse confirmed her previous comments that Pattison was a final contender, stating, 'You confirmed my intuition. Without a doubt, you are on fire.'
Leaderboard Takes Shape in Midway Show
The Saturday night programme marked the midway point of the series, with nine couples competing. The leaderboard saw a clear hierarchy emerge after all performances.
In second place were West End performer Amber Davies and her partner Nikita Kuzmin. Their energetic Salsa earned them 38 points, including two 10s, which Revel Horwood called 'Ah-mazing'.
Sharing third position with 35 points each were Lewis Cope with Katya Jones and Karen Carney with Carlos Gu. Cope and Jones opened the show with a Cha Cha Cha, while Carney and Gu performed a lively Charleston that was praised for its contagious energy and natural expression.
At the other end of the table, drag performer La Voix and partner Aljaz Skorjanec finished at the bottom with 29 points for their Foxtrot, which was noted for its exuberant performance but critiqued for being a little 'flat-footed'.
The show also featured performances from other celebrities, including actress Balvinder Sopal, who performed a Punjabi Bhangra, and YouTuber George Clarke with a Viennese Waltz, both scoring 34 points.
The Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment is scheduled to perform during the results show on Sunday, November 9th, in commemoration of Remembrance Sunday.
