Love Island's Ellie Chadwick Moving to London for Finley Maddock
Ellie Chadwick Moving to London for Finley Maddock

After leaving the Love Island villa together, Scottish Islander Ellie Chadwick and Welsh Islander Finley Maddock have shared their plans to make their relationship work long distance. In an exclusive interview with Capital, the couple confirmed that Ellie will be moving to London to be nearer to Finley, who currently lives in the English capital.

How the Decision Was Made

Finley explained that distance was a topic they addressed early in their relationship inside the villa. "So the distance topic, this is something we covered early on we knew the distance, so we had to cover it early on otherwise all them weeks would have been pointless. So yeah we discussed [Ellie] moving to London." Ellie, speaking about the decision's freshness, joked to her mother via the interview: "You're welcome mum, I'm just letting you know now."

A Love That Grew in the Villa

The couple, who fell in love during their time in Mallorca, revealed that they are in fact in love – a milestone they reached shortly after leaving the show. Ellie's decision to follow Finley out of the villa after he was dumped by fellow islanders demonstrated her commitment. However, some of Ellie's supporters have expressed concerns about Finley's behaviour in the villa, prompting questions about the relationship's future. Despite this, Ellie has shown trust in Finley by agreeing to relocate.

Shared Roots and a Move to the Capital

Both from similar backgrounds, Finley noted: "I feel like Wales and Scotland are very similar and I think we both feel the same like, it's lovely there but there's not a lot going on... It's nice to go back there." Ellie agreed, calling Scotland and Wales "forever our homes" but admitted she always knew she would not stay in Scotland permanently. Finley, originally from Wales, now lives in London, which will become Ellie's new base. The pair visited Capital HQ to share the news, leaving fans eager for updates.

Moving Timeline Still Uncertain

While Ellie's relocation to London has been decided, the couple did not specify a moving date or confirm whether they will live together. Ellie described the move as "TBC" (to be confirmed). The decision marks a practical step towards building a life together outside the villa, and fans will be watching closely for further developments.

The announcement comes as the latest chapter in Ellie and Finley's Love Island journey. With a concrete plan to bridge the 400-mile distance between Scotland and London, the couple are determined to make their relationship thrive.
