Prime Video has announced a six-part documentary series titled 'Meet the Owens,' offering an intimate look at the life of former England footballer Michael Owen and his family. All episodes will be available for streaming from 28 August 2026.

The series shifts focus away from Owen's football career, instead documenting the day-to-day operations of Manor House Stables, the Cheshire racing yard he established in 2006. Gemma Owen, known from 'Love Island,' takes on a new challenge as she trains for her debut as a jockey in the Markel Magnolia Cup at Glorious Goodwood. The documentary follows her intensive training at her father's stables.
Speaking about the experience, Gemma said: 'I'm really looking forward to taking part in the Markel Magnolia Cup this year. I had never sat on a racehorse until a couple of months ago.' She described the process as 'humbling' and more challenging than expected.

Son James looks to join the racing business, despite facing challenges due to Stargardt disease, a rare inherited eye condition.
