Former The Saturdays singer Vanessa White has shared a series of major life updates, revealing the gender of her unborn child shortly after announcing a surprise marriage.
A Double Celebration: Marriage and Motherhood
The 36-year-old pop star is preparing to welcome her first child, a baby boy, with her new husband, DJ Emmanuel Lawal. The couple, who have been together for eight years, secretly married at Hackney Town Hall in London in a ceremony with just two guests in attendance.
This intimate wedding came just weeks after Emmanuel proposed during a romantic weekend away in the Cotswolds. Vanessa opened up about this whirlwind period in an exclusive interview with British Vogue, where she disclosed both her pregnancy news and her marital status.
Plans for a Second Ceremony and a Pageboy Son
While their initial union was a private affair, the newlyweds have already begun planning a larger celebration for next summer. Vanessa revealed to Vogue that they hope to host a big party in Majorca, where all their family and friends can join them.
She expressed her delight that her son, due in just a matter of weeks, will be able to participate. "Knowing that he will be there is the nicest thing," she told the magazine, suggesting he would take on the role of pageboy.
Reflecting on their private registry office wedding, which was photographed for Vogue, she added, "It was so nice. I really do recommend people just going off and doing it on their own."

Vanessa also shared details of her wedding attire, chosen to accommodate her pregnancy. She wore a bespoke bump-hugging dress, a collaboration between designers Christopher Kane and Self-Portrait, paired with Christian Louboutin heels.
"It’s so funny, because you imagine what you’re going to get married in, and for a registry I thought I’d wear some sort of cool suit, but being pregnant, that was never going to work," she explained. "When I tried on the dress, I knew it had to be it. It was just one of those moments where it clicked."
