The interactive trail lets families meet creatures from the Minecraft universe, collect stamps, and earn an exclusive in-game item. However, parents should be prepared for a lot of walking, as the trail covers the entire park.
What the Event Offers
The event includes a dedicated Minecraft hub where visitors can pick up trail cards. Staff members engage children with Minecraft trivia and hints. Throughout the day, costumed characters such as the Iron Golem and Chicken Jockey appear for photos. Every 20 minutes, staff run Minecraft-themed games and activities that keep kids entertained.
Themed food includes TNT-bucket popcorn and blocky Minecraft ice creams. The park is decorated with Minecraft banners and even features frog statues at the entrance fountains, blending the game's aesthetic with the park's natural surroundings.
The Trail Experience
There are six stamp stations, each based on a different baby mob, such as kittens and chicks. Between stamps, families can enjoy Alton Towers' regular rides. The trail is woven into the park experience, but finding all six stamps can be challenging. One stamp is located on the far side of the park, requiring a long hike. A map or clearer hints would be helpful, according to the journalist.
Upon completing the trail, children receive a code for a downloadable exclusive Minecraft item, which is only available to trail finishers. The reward was described as adorable by the journalist's kids.
