BRIT Awards to Commemorate Ozzy Osbourne and Mani in Special Tribute

This special tribute will form part of a larger In Memoriam section dedicated to remembering several artists who have passed away in the last twelve months.
Plans for a Comprehensive Memorial Segment
According to a source speaking to The Sun, organisers are planning a large-scale In Memoriam section for the BRITs. This initiative follows last year's tribute to late One Direction vocalist Liam Payne and aims to respectfully acknowledge the loss of multiple artists rather than focusing on individuals alone.
The 76-year-old Black Sabbath legend, Ozzy Osbourne, and the 63-year-old Stone Roses bassist, Mani, both died within months of each other in 2025, making their inclusion particularly significant for the music community.
Ozzy Osbourne's Final Performance and Health Struggles
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, with the causes listed as acute myocardial infarction and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, alongside underlying conditions including coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction.
Weeks before his death, Ozzy delivered his final performance at the Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5. His wife, Sharon Osbourne, revealed in an interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan that medical professionals had warned Ozzy he might not survive the show, but he was determined to proceed.
Sharon explained that Ozzy, who was suffering from severe health issues including pneumonia and sepsis, insisted on performing to thank his fans, fully aware his body was failing. She described his immense pain and the toll of extensive antibiotic treatments, which he struggled to overcome.
Remembering Mani and His Legacy
Mani passed away in November 2025 at his home in Heaton Moor, Stockport. His funeral at Manchester Cathedral in December saw his coffin carried by former bandmates from The Stone Roses, including Liam Gallagher, Ian Brown, John Squire, and Reni.
However, reports indicate that none of these musicians are expected to participate in the BRITs tribute to Mani, leaving the details of the memorial segment to be unveiled during the ceremony.
