The former SDMN unit in Birmingham's Bullring has reopened as an official merchandise store for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup cricket tournament.
The unit, located on the lower ground floor near M&S, has been transformed into a pop-up shop to celebrate the event, which begins tonight at Edgbaston with England taking on Sri Lanka at 6:30pm.
Products and Prices
The temporary store is well stocked with merchandise for both teams, with T-shirts priced at £30. It also offers items for other participating countries, including India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Scotland, West Indies, Australia, and Netherlands. Shirts, hats, and hoodies are among the options.
Neutral accessories celebrating the tournament with no team affiliation are also available, including clothing, caps, bucket hats, and several types of cricket balls.
Adult T-shirts cost £30, junior shirts are £25, and official hoodies are around £80. Caps are priced at £25, and bucket hats at £30.
Store Details
The store is a significant size and appeared very well stocked during a recent visit, making it worth a visit for those in town this weekend. The Bullring often uses the space outside Marks and Spencer for pop-ups and special events, but it is less common to see a unit as large as the former SDMN used in this way.
The shop not only sells merchandise but also features branding celebrating women's cricket and promoting the game.
Earlier this week, the Bullring announced that a brand new shop was coming, though it remained tight-lipped on which, while confirming that luxury watch boutique Breitling would be closing on the upper floor of the West Mall.
