Joe and the Juice Opens in Bullring with Pink Tiles

Joe and the Juice has officially opened its doors in Birmingham's Bullring, taking over the former Soho Coffee unit on the top floor opposite Sephora. The new café offers a bright, airy space with pink tiles, a neon sign, and a glass mezzanine overlooking the lower floors, making it a prime spot for people-watching.

Location and Ambiance

The café occupies the corner unit previously home to Soho Coffee, which moved out earlier this year. Shoppers had been left wondering what would replace the popular cafe, but Joe and the Juice—which already operates a kiosk near the former John Lewis in Grand Central—has now moved in. The interior features industrial touches like exposed rusty red pipework and beams, alongside pictures of Birmingham icons such as the Bullring bull and a canal scene.

Menu Offerings

Beyond coffee and juice, the menu includes sandwiches on 'classic' bread with fillings like Serrano ham, steak, spicy tuna, and vegan avocado, priced from £8.30. Breakfast bowls include yoghurt (£4.95), acai (£8.95), and overnight oats (£4.95). Matcha comes in unusual flavors like jalapeno and lime nectar or pineapple breeze nectar for £5.20. An Americano costs £3.50 (£3.70 iced), and English breakfast tea is £3.50. Functional smoothies with creatine, collagen, or protein are £9.20 each. Signature juices (hydration and feel-good blends) are £9, while regular juice blends and shakes are £7.10. Shots of turmeric or ginger are £3.05, and bottled water (still or sparkling) is £1.95.
