Masked Singer Fans Convinced Conkers is Tom Daley, Not Ben Shephard
Masked Singer Fans: Conkers is Tom Daley, Not Ben Shephard

Masked Singer Fans 'Certain' Conkers is Tom Daley After Clue 'Gave It Away'

The Masked Singer final is set to air tonight, and viewers will finally discover the identities of the three remaining celebrities. Toastie, Conkers, and Moth will all perform one last time before being unmasked on the popular ITV show.

For weeks, fans have been passionately debating who is hidden inside each costume, with numerous names suggested for every contender. However, many now believe they have successfully identified Conkers before the final, based on a clue that they say 'gave it away'—and it's not Tipping Point host Ben Shephard, as some initially speculated.

Evidence Points to Olympic Diver Tom Daley

A significant number of Masked Singer viewers are convinced that Olympic diver Tom Daley is the celebrity inside the Conkers costume, and they have compelling evidence to support their claim. During the show, a clue displayed stars representing one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals, which perfectly matches Tom Daley's Olympic medal tally.

One fan expressed this on social media, writing: "Why has Davina changed her mind? Conkers is Tom Daley. Sounds like him when he performs. Even had his 5 Olympic medals - 1 gold, 1 silver & 3 bronze." Another viewer agreed, stating: "Conker is 100% Tom Daley: 1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze, splash!" A third commented: "The colours of the stars just gave him away Tom Daley has three bronze 1 silver 1 gold."

Additional Clues Support the Theory

This is not the only clue pointing to the Olympian. References to knitting have also emerged, with Conkers mentioning "spinning you a yarn." Tom Daley is famously known for his knitting hobby and even launched his own knitting kit brand. He currently hosts the new Channel 4 show Game of Wool: Britain's Best Knitter.

Furthermore, Conkers talked about "making a splash," which could be a clear nod to Daley's diving career and his reality show Splash!, where he mentored celebrities learning to dive. A reference to Sir Lancelot also fits, as Tom is married to Dustin Lance Black, with whom he has been married since 2017 and shares two children, Robbie and Phoenix.

The Masked Singer final starts on ITV at 7pm tonight, Saturday, February 14. Viewers can watch live on ITVX or catch up on the entire series there as well.
