Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is set to take place at Sandwell Valley Country Park this weekend, offering participants the chance to run, walk, or jog to raise funds for life-saving cancer research.
Event Details
The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, with various distances available including 5k and 10k routes. Participants are encouraged to wear pink, the signature colour of Race for Life, to show their support for those affected by cancer.
How to Take Part
Entries are still open for those who wish to join. The event is open to all ages and abilities, with a focus on fun and fundraising rather than competition. Each participant will receive a medal upon completing their chosen distance.
Race for Life has been running for over 25 years and has raised millions of pounds for Cancer Research UK. The funds help scientists find new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.
Supporting the Cause
Even if you cannot attend, you can still support by donating to participants or volunteering at the event. Every contribution helps bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
