A wonderful evening of live music is coming to a local church in Wirksworth later this month. The West Derbyshire URC Church will host a special concert called Songs and Strings. This highly anticipated event is scheduled for June 20, starting at 7:30pm.
Program and Performers
Audiences can look forward to a diverse program featuring talented local and visiting musicians. The lineup includes Jonathan Priestley on lute and classical guitar, alongside David Heyes on double bass. They will be joined by soprano Sarah Poole and classical guitarist James Rippingale, completing the talented ensemble.
The evening promises a rich variety of classical pieces, including music by renowned composers Dowland and Bottesini. Music enthusiasts will also be treated to exciting world premieres of brand new compositions written by Jonathan Priestley and David Heyes.
