The Moseley Folk & Arts Festival returns to Moseley Park and Pool this weekend, Friday September 4 to Sunday September 6, with a line-up spanning traditional folk, acoustic, roots, indie rock, Americana and experimental genres. Tickets remain on sale via the Moseley Folk website.
The annual, family-friendly event transforms the private woodland park into a live music venue, with headliners confirmed as Kingfishr, the Irish indie-folk trio; Super Furry Animals, the Welsh psych-rock band; and The Dead South, the Canadian acoustic ensemble. Each act will headline one of the three days.
Supporting acts and family entertainment
Beyond the headliners, the festival programme includes Frank Turner, Johnny Flynn & Lillie Flynn, The Wonder Stuff, Big Special, The Longest Johns and Joshua Burnside. Organisers have also scheduled dedicated children's zones, storytelling sessions, craft workshops and family-oriented performances across the weekend.
Attendees can browse local street food vendors and pop-up bars offering craft beers, ciders and cocktails, while art displays are set up throughout the park.
Community partnerships and parkland support
The festival collaborates with regional cultural bodies, including the Birmingham Comedy Festival and local craft networks. Profits and site fees from the event go directly to the Moseley Pool and Park Trust, which maintains the private parkland for community use throughout the year.
