The Green Hustle Festival is returning to Nottingham on Saturday, May 30, offering a free day of activities celebrating green living, creativity, and community. The outdoor event will run from 11am to 6pm and will once again be centred in Old Market Square, while expanding into additional city locations including Sussex Street, Central Library, and the Green Heart at the former Broadmarsh site.
Festival Highlights
Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities including gardening workshops, live music, literature, eco fashion, sport, and family-friendly entertainment. A new 'Grow Yourself' hub will feature hands-on sessions focused on science, wellbeing, and practical skills, alongside opportunities to connect with local groups and community projects.
Creative and Eco-Friendly Attractions
Across the festival, there will be creative installations, street performances, a slow fashion catwalk, pop-up forest school, community gardening, and live art displays. Food and drink options include street food, local produce, and pay-as-you-feel meals at the Community Kitchen.
Additional activity sites will host performances, skate sessions, creative workshops, and literary events, while visitors can explore green spaces, public art, and environmental projects across the city.
Community and Sustainability Focus
The festival, led by Green Hustle CIC and supported by local partners, aims to inspire people to engage with sustainability, nature, and community action. Entry is free, and all activities are open to the public.
