Two Birmingham Food Giants Join Forces for Summer Pop-Up in City Centre
Birmingham Food Giants Join for Summer Pop-Up

Two of Birmingham's most beloved food destinations are joining forces this August for an exclusive summer pop-up in the city centre. Italian restaurant La Bellezza and dessert specialist LA-POP! will collaborate to create three limited-edition gelato lollies inspired by La Bellezza's legendary desserts.

Collaboration Details

The pop-up will take place in Chamberlain Square, directly outside La Bellezza, every Friday and Saturday throughout August, beginning Friday 7 August. Visitors can purchase the exclusive lollies for £4.50 each. The three flavours on offer are Tiramisu, Fior Di Latte, and Lemon Meringue Pie, each crafted to capture the essence of La Bellezza's celebrated dessert menu.

About La Bellezza

La Bellezza opened in Birmingham city centre at the end of 2024 and quickly became a sensation, with diners struggling to secure last-minute tables weeks after its launch. The restaurant's interior is as much a draw as its food, featuring towering paintings, Murano chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling vintage liquor bottles, and tapestry curtains. The menu focuses on traditional Italian cuisine, sourcing ingredients from 170 Italian artisans. Offerings include pasta, pizzas, freshly baked focaccia, antipasti, and desserts.

About LA-POP!

LA-POP! has become a firm favourite in Birmingham thanks to its speciality gelato lollies and customisable treats. The business first opened in Edgbaston Village on Islington Row and now operates a second location at Saint Paul's Market in the Jewellery Quarter. LA-POP! is known for its famous pops—different flavoured ice creams dipped in chocolate and toppings—as well as cheesecakes on sticks dipped in chocolate, dipped strawberries, milkshakes, and mocktails.

Pop-Up Schedule and Pricing

The pop-up will run from 7 August, every Friday and Saturday, in Chamberlain Square. Each lolly is priced at £4.50. This collaboration brings together two distinct Birmingham food identities, offering a unique summer treat for locals and visitors alike.
