Music and television mogul Simon Cowell has made a startling revelation about his personal health regimen, claiming he has managed to reverse the ageing process through a combination of a strict diet, exercise, and an unconventional medical procedure known as blood washing.
The Unconventional Wellness Protocol
Speaking candidly on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, the 66-year-old X Factor and American Idol boss detailed his visits to a wellness clinic where he undergoes a specific treatment. "I go to this wellness clinic where they actually take your blood, they rinse it, they filter it, they put it back into your body," Cowell explained. This process, which filters the blood outside the body before returning it, is part of his strategy to maintain his vitality.
The father to 11-year-old son Eric shared that the clinic conducts comprehensive assessments that determine a person's biological age. According to these tests, his efforts have yielded remarkable results. "You do all these tests and they tell you your age - so I've actually aged backwards by eating better, more exercise, less stress, certain supplements," he stated, confirming that his brain function and energy levels remain high.
From Cryogenic Dreams to Family Realities
Cowell's interest in life extension once led him to consider even more extreme measures. He confessed to previously looking into cryogenic preservation, the practice of freezing a body after death in the hope of future revival. "I actually was going to freeze myself. I thought, 'Why not?'" he recalled. However, he was swiftly deterred by the gruesome details of the process. "Then I found out they chop your head off, so you come back in two thousand years as a floating head. I'm like, 'No, I don't want that.'"
Beyond clinical treatments, the media personality credits his family with providing the most profound perspective on life. He shares his son, Eric, with his fiancée, Lauren Silverman, and says fatherhood has been transformative. "I'd be lost if I hadn't had Eric, and Lauren, the two of them," Cowell admitted. "I'd reached a point in my life I felt lost, I was getting very down. When I hear Eric laugh and I see him happy, there's nothing that compares to that." He emphasised that becoming a parent fundamentally changes a person, shifting focus to protection and guidance.
A Daily Quest for Peace
In a separate interview with Britain's HELLO! magazine, Cowell offered a further glimpse into his personal philosophy. He revealed that he engages in daily conversations with himself and his guardian angel, with a singular focus. "I talk to myself every day and say, 'I just want peace.' I have a guardian angel, and I talk to it about peace. That's all I want," he confessed. This daily ritual underscores a man who, after decades in the high-pressure entertainment industry, is now prioritising inner calm and family wellbeing alongside his physical health.
