Hobbycraft Urgently Recalls 3D Pen Kit Over Burn Risk

Hobbycraft has issued an urgent recall of its 3D Pen Kit following reports that the product could cause burns to children. The Office for Product Safety and Standards stated: "The product presents a risk of burns as the heating element in the pen nib may become hotter than intended during use. This could lead to the user receiving burns."

Reason for Recall

The toy uses a heating element to allow children to draw 3D objects. Hobbycraft explained: "Following recent testing, we've identified that the pen may become hotter than intended during use. While the risk is considered low, this could potentially cause a minor burn, so we've taken the decision to recall the product as a precaution."

Refund Details

Shoppers are urged to return products with the number 6775611000. They will receive a full refund following its return. Additionally, shoppers do not need a receipt when returning the pens. However, the shop is urging people to bring some sort of proof of purchase to make the process easier. The Hobbycraft website has more details on how to return items and where your nearest store is.
