An elderly woman was transported to hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Walsall on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred on Bloxwich Road, where the driver, who is in her 80s, reportedly struck a wall near a local bus stop.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene at 3.44 pm on March 16. West Midlands Fire Service personnel assisted in extracting the woman from her vehicle, with ambulance crews providing immediate medical attention. The driver was subsequently taken to hospital for precautionary checks, with injuries described as not life-changing.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service confirmed their involvement, stating that the council highways team was requested to address oil spillage on the road and pavement adjacent to the bus stop. The scene was later handed over to police colleagues for further investigation.
