Police are continuing to appeal for information following the death of a 45-year-old motorcyclist on the A4109 in Neath. Lynne Trump was pronounced dead at the scene near Cefn Coed Colliery at around 3pm on August 16.
South Wales Police have asked anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward. The force has urged potential witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting occurrence number 2600268317.
Family tribute to a devoted wife and mother
In a statement released through the force, Ms Trump's family paid tribute to her, describing her as a "devoted wife, a loving mother and a cherished grandmother". They said: "She was truly one of life’s rare diamonds - someone incredibly special whose presence made the world a brighter and happier place for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her."
Her family highlighted her personality, saying: "Lynne was fun, loving, caring, and generous, with a wonderful personality that drew people towards her. She was the life and soul of every party, always bringing laughter, warmth and happiness wherever she went."
They added: "Her infectious smile and wonderful sense of humour could light up any room, and she had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel welcome, valued and loved."
Heart of her family and a treasured friend
The tribute continued: "She was the heart of her family and someone who would always put others before herself. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she gave her family so much love, support and precious memories that will be treasured forever. Her family meant everything to her and she took great pride in watching those she loved grow and build their own lives."
Ms Trump's family also spoke of her friendships, saying: "Lynne also treasured her friendships deeply. Her friends were such an important part of her life and the bonds she made with people were genuine and lasting. She loved spending time with them, sharing laughter, stories, celebrations, and all the little moments that made life special. She had a wonderful way of making friends feel like family."
The family concluded: "We were incredibly lucky to have had someone as special as Lynne in our lives. She touched the hearts of so many people and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her kindness, laughter, warmth, and beautiful spirit will never be forgotten. Although we are heartbroken that she is no longer with us, we will carry Lynne with us in our hearts forever. Her memory will live on through her family, her friends and the countless lives she touched. Lynne truly was a rare diamond - precious, irreplaceable and one of a kind. She will be loved, missed, and remembered always."
