Celebrity Masseur Cleared of Sexually Assaulting Women at Birmingham Trial
Celebrity Masseur Cleared of Sexual Assault Charges

Marcelo Oliveira, a 47-year-old celebrity masseur, has been formally cleared of all charges related to the sexual assault of women following two trials at Birmingham Crown Court. The allegations involved inappropriate groping during massages and rubbing his penis against clients, but in each instance, Oliveira was either found not guilty or the jury could not reach a verdict.

Formal Discharge and Prosecution Decision

At a hearing on Wednesday, July 1, Oliveira was formally discharged. Matthew Brook KC, prosecuting, stated, "There have been two trials and the Crown does not seek to have a third trial." The Crown offered no evidence on the outstanding charges, and not guilty verdicts were recorded on the court system.

Details of Allegations

Juries were told that clients sought massages from Oliveira after undergoing major cosmetic surgeries, such as liposuction or a 'Brazilian Butt Lift'. Allegations included unnecessary touching of genitals or rubbing against clients. One woman also claimed he showed her naked photographs of other clients, including celebrities.

Oliveira's Background and Defense

Oliveira, originally from Brazil, advertised his services on Instagram and operated from a home in Birmingham, as well as clinics in London and Liverpool. He accepted that massages took place but denied any sexual touching. He first went on trial in 2024 facing 28 sexual offences concerning ten women between 2019 and 2021, with no convictions. A retrial in June 2025 on four charges related to three women also resulted in no guilty verdicts.

Outcome and Attendance

Oliveira, from St Albans, did not attend the hearing. The case has concluded with his full acquittal on all counts.
