Alex Scott Voted Off I'm A Celebrity 2025 in First Elimination
Alex Scott first eliminated from I'm A Celebrity

Former England footballer Alex Scott has made a dramatic exit from the I'm A Celebrity jungle, becoming the first contestant to be eliminated from the 2025 series after spending 14 days in camp.

The Tense Elimination Vote

Tensions reached breaking point in the Australian jungle during Thursday evening's broadcast when seven campmates found themselves facing potential eviction. The group at risk included Aitch, Angry Ginge, Alex Scott, Ruby Wax OBE, Kelly Brook, Jack Osbourne and Martin Kemp.

The fate of these celebrities was determined by public vote after they competed in head-to-head trials during Thursday's episode, with the defeated contestants automatically facing elimination. Despite the strong field, it was Alex Scott who failed to secure enough votes from the public to continue her jungle journey.

Alex's Emotional Exit Interview

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec shortly after her elimination, the Lioness footballer joked "Sorry if I stink" as she arrived at the studio. She described leaving camp as feeling "strange" and "not real", adding that "It's been such an incredible experience mentally it's so tough and I did struggle at times missing home."

Scott revealed she "didn't want to be that person" who sparked arguments, though she did confess to one particular complaint about an unnamed campmate who keeps leaving the toilet seat up. "Oh my gosh the smell in the dunny is awful and someone keeps leaving the seat up," she remarked.

When pressed by Ant and Dec to name the culprit, with them hinting it might be "Martin Kemp", Alex responded diplomatically: "No I can't say (who), because he's a national treasure."

Looking Back and Forward

Reflecting on her time in camp, Alex said she loved "the laughter, the humour" and praised her fellow contestants: "We really connected. I wasn't expecting that coming into the jungle." She also expressed her delight at having shared the experience with "such a great bunch of campmates."

The presenters discussed her reputation as a "team player" who wanted her campmates to "play fair", values that clearly translated from her football career to jungle life.

When asked who she wants to see crowned King or Queen of the Jungle, Scott answered without hesitation: "Shona (McGarty). Ginge and Aitch are great and amazing but I think Shona being named Queen of the Jungle would give her the confidence to take on life."

Notable Absence at the Bridge

In a departure from tradition, Alex Scott's girlfriend, singer Jess Glynne, was notably absent when Alex exited the programme. Instead, her best friend Regan awaited her on the other side of the bridge.

Host Dec announced: "Before we let you go over the bridge to Regan, your best friend..." before the pair shared an enormous hug as Alex crossed.

Viewers quickly identified why Jess Glynne wasn't present, with one posting online: "Everyone saying wheres Jess Glynne SHES IN LONDON FFS! ! She was on This Morning earlier."

The first elimination of I'm A Celebrity 2025 marks a significant moment in this year's series, with the competition now intensifying as remaining celebrities continue their jungle adventure.
