Rossendale Borough Council Registers New Planning Applications
Rossendale Borough Council has officially registered a series of planning applications up to the week ending Friday, March 27. These applications cover a diverse range of projects across the borough, from residential extensions to condition discharges for larger developments.
Residential Extension in Ramsbottom
At 23 Meadow Park in Ramsbottom, Bury, a householder has submitted plans for significant alterations. The proposal includes the addition of a part first floor and a part two-storey side extension, along with a single-storey rear extension. A new front porch is also planned, alongside the installation of solar panels on the roof.
Further changes involve adding new windows to the existing dwelling and modifying the external materials. Additionally, an existing garage is set to be converted into a gym, which will be incorporated within the proposed side extension.
Condition Discharges for Haslingden Cottage
Another application seeks the discharge of conditions 3 (Land Contamination), 4 (Materials), and 6 (Biodiversity Net Gain) pursuant to Planning Approval 2025/0466 at Coldwells Cottage on Roundhill Road in Haslingden, Rossendale. This step is crucial for moving forward with the approved development while ensuring environmental and safety standards are met.
Approvals for Edenfield Development
Two separate applications have been made for the approval of details reserved by conditions related to permission 2022/0451 on land west of Market Street in Edenfield, Bury. The first application covers conditions 10 (construction phasing) and 22 (construction management plan), while the second addresses conditions 11 (geotechnical and drainage information) and 20 (operation and maintenance manual). These approvals are essential for the structured and compliant execution of the development project.
Partial Discharges for Rawtenstall Project
Three applications focus on the partial discharge of conditions for the HARP project under Planning Approval 2021/0275 on land at Haslingden Road in Rawtenstall, Rossendale. These include:
- Condition 3 - Haslingden Road Compound Phasing Plan
- Condition 24 - coal mining conditions
- Condition 23 - Footpath safeguarding, diversions, and reinstatement
These partial discharges are necessary to advance specific aspects of the large-scale development while adhering to regulatory requirements.
These planning applications highlight ongoing development activities in Rossendale, reflecting both residential improvements and larger infrastructure projects. The council's registration marks a key step in the planning process, allowing for public scrutiny and regulatory review.
