Planning applications have been registered with Rossendale Borough Council up to the week ending Friday, May 8. The proposals include residential extensions, changes of use, and commercial developments across the borough.
Residential Extensions
A retrospective application has been submitted for a single-storey, rear wrap-around extension and retaining wall at 8 Lee Brook Close, Constable Lee, Rossendale. Additionally, a single-storey side and rear extension of a three-bed semi-detached house, plus the addition of attic dormers at the front and back, is proposed at 5 Alder Avenue, Rawtenstall, Rossendale.
Change of Use
Plans have been lodged for a change of use of an existing garage and outbuilding within the curtilage of Stoneacre Farm, Rochdale Road, Edenfield, Bury. This includes changes to the external appearance and the provision of an elevated terrace. Another change of use application seeks to convert a car park for the storage of caravans at Athertonholme Mill, Railway Street, Stacksteads, Bacup.
Commercial and Community Developments
External fabric repairs, window replacement, and shop front repairs are planned at 26 Deardengate, Haslingden, Rossendale. Meanwhile, Rossendale Golf Club at Ewood Lane, Haslingden, has applied for the erection of a steel-framed storage building, materials storage bunkers, a vehicle washdown facility, and the creation of four greenstaff car parking spaces within a secure compound. This also includes associated drainage improvement works and landscaping.
Variation of Conditions
A Section 73 application has been made to vary Condition 2 (approved plans) pursuant to planning appeal decision APP/B2355/W/24/3356090. This would enable house type alterations to plots 39, 41, 46, 48, 49, 50, 51, and 52 on land off Fieldfare Way, Bacup.
