Ofcom Flooded With Complaints Over ITV's Bellingham Coverage

ITV has been hit with 443 complaints to the broadcasting watchdog Ofcom over its coverage of Jude Bellingham following England's 2-1 victory over Norway. The complaints centre on reporter Gabriel Clarke's post-match interviews with England manager Thomas Tuchel and man of the match Bellingham.

The controversy erupted after Clarke questioned Bellingham about Tuchel's admission that he was 'not happy' with the team's performance. Bellingham responded dismissively, saying: 'Yeah, well, whatever.' He then added: 'All the players have put in a tough shift. So my thoughts and appreciation go out to the players out there who put in a great shift again.'

Bellingham's Defiant Response

The Real Madrid midfielder continued: 'Maybe he doesn't know what it's like to play in those kind of conditions against Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard, Antonio Nusa, Alexander Sorloth. That's not an easy team to play against. So, I think we've tried to create a positive environment. You're not going to win every game, popping the ball and making a thousand passes. Sometimes you have to win dirty, and we've done that again tonight.'

Clarke, 62, has faced backlash for his line of questioning, with viewers accusing him of trying to create division between the manager and player. ITV has not yet commented on the complaints.

Increased Security for Semi-Final

Atlanta Police stated: 'As Atlanta prepares to host an upcoming Fifa World Cup semi-final match and welcomes increased numbers of residents and visitors, the Atlanta Police Department has enhanced its citywide public safety and security posture.'

The statement added: 'Additional personnel and resources are already deployed and will continue to be strategically assigned in and around the event venues, entertainment districts, and other high-traffic areas to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. These proactive measures are designed to protect the public, deter criminal activity, and ensure residents and visitors can safely enjoy this historic event.'
