Former Aston Villa winger Robert Snodgrass has shared his belief that Morgan Rogers and Jarrod Bowen will both remain at their respective clubs this summer, despite ongoing transfer speculation.
Arsenal's Interest in Morgan Rogers
Arsenal are expected to make a bid to sign Rogers from Aston Villa. The 22-year-old is currently representing England at the World Cup and has been valued by Villa at £130 million. However, Snodgrass dismissed the likelihood of a move, telling talkSPORT BET Sportsbook: “Morgan Rogers to Arsenal? I don't see that happening. I feel as if Aston Villa have taken it to the next level. They want to be challenging for the top four.”
He added: “They have one of the best managers in the world and a great squad. They will try to add players to that group rather than lose them. It is one where Arsenal might have a shot if the money is absolutely ridiculous, but I can’t see him going. He is an exceptional talent.”
Villa's Interest in Jarrod Bowen
Villa boss Unai Emery is reportedly a big admirer of Bowen and could view the West Ham captain as a potential replacement for Rogers' creativity if the latter departs. However, Snodgrass advised Bowen to stay at West Ham. “I think he did really well last season despite where West Ham finished. He has been the main man and his numbers have been really good for the last three years,” Snodgrass said.
“If I'm Jarrod, I'm staying at West Ham. He is the captain and he is loved there. Signing a longer-term deal would show massive loyalty and togetherness. If they keep him and make the right signings, it shows a massive intent to go straight back up.”
Impact of Potential Transfers
Rogers has been a key player for Villa, contributing 12 goals and 8 assists in all competitions last season. Bowen, meanwhile, scored 16 goals and provided 6 assists for West Ham. A move for either player would significantly impact their respective clubs' ambitions. Villa are aiming for a top-four finish, while West Ham are looking to bounce back after a disappointing season that saw them finish 15th.
