A man in his 20s was seriously injured after his e-bike was struck by a car on Hillwood Road in Bartley Green, Birmingham. The incident occurred around 7pm on Saturday, July 11, and led to road closures as emergency services attended the scene.
Details of the Collision
The e-bike rider, whose identity has not been released, sustained serious wounds to his arm and leg. He was taken to hospital, where he remains for treatment. West Midlands Police confirmed that the collision involved an e-bike and a car, and investigations are ongoing.
Road Closures and Bus Diversions
Cordons were placed on Hillwood Road and Moors Lane, near local shops and the reservoir. The National Express West Midlands number 18 bus route was diverted during the closure but resumed its normal route later in the evening.

West Midlands Police urged witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson said: "We were called to Hillwood Road shortly before 7pm yesterday after a collision involving an e-bike and a car. A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious arm and leg injuries and remains in hospital. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw the collision can call 101 quoting log 4582 of 11 July."
