15 New Images of The Powerhouse Stadium Released

Birmingham City Football Club has released 15 stunning new visuals of their proposed stadium, The Powerhouse. The club first unveiled the design in November, featuring a 62,500-seater stadium with 12 chimneys as the centerpiece of the Sports Quarter. Knighthead Capital Management aims to open the stadium by the 2030/31 season, with architects MANICA and Heatherwick Studio refining the design ahead of planning approval.

New Imagery Revealed

Heatherwick Studio's Eliot Postma and Blues' head of infrastructure Nick Smith hosted an event with supporters on Wednesday evening to discuss the design and showcase new images. The visuals include both interior and exterior shots of The Powerhouse.

Exterior Views

One image shows the stadium from the nearby HS2 line, which will stop at Curzon Street Station, bringing fans from London. New pictures also highlight the West Stand and offer a first look at Blues Way, a walkway leading to the stadium that will feature shops, bars, and entertainment areas.

Interior and Hospitality

Inside the stadium, supporters saw crowd shots, concourse views, and various hospitality zones. One premium area offers a direct view of players in the tunnel. Another exclusive suite provides a stunning panorama of Birmingham's skyline.

The images also depict a coach arriving at the West Stand, a night shot of the chimneys, a giant TV screen in the concourse, the home dressing room, and a player taking a penalty in front of the wall.

Birmingham City continues to engage with fans as the project moves forward, with the stadium set to become a landmark venue in the city.
