Car Crashes Onto Golf Course, Three Injured

A car crashed and spun onto a golf course in Sutton Coldfield on Tuesday night, leaving three people injured but all avoiding serious harm.

Incident Details

The crash occurred on Monmouth Drive, adjacent to Boldmere Golf Course, just after 7pm on June 2. The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to spin and end up with its rear through a fence bordering the golf course, near the Banners Gate playground in Sutton Park.

Police reported three people were injured. The ambulance service attended and assessed two of them, but no one required hospital treatment.

Emergency Services Response

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We received several 999 calls reporting a single car road traffic collision at the junction of Jevons Road and Monmouth Drive, Sutton Coldfield at 7.10pm last night. One ambulance attended. Thankfully, the two occupants, both men, didn’t require hospital treatment and were discharged on scene.”

A West Midlands Police spokesperson added: “We were called just after 7.10pm on Tuesday (June 2) to reports that a vehicle had overturned after crashing into a fence. Three people were injured. Anyone with information should get in touch via 101, quoting log 5150 of 2 June.”

Despite the dramatic nature of the crash, all occupants were fortunate to escape without serious injury. The vehicle ended up on the golf course, causing damage to the fence but no further hazards.
