Chilton Primary Football Team Triumphs in Tournament

Young footballers at Chilton Primary in Ramsgate are celebrating a winning feeling after triumphing in a challenging tournament for Year 3 and Year 4 children, organized by the Thanet Primary Association for School Sport. Matches were played at Margate FC's Hartsdown Park stadium, where top teams from around the area came together for a fantastic festival of football.

Dominant Performance

Chilton was in fine form throughout, with a strong defense, busy midfield, and rapier-like finishing from the strikers. The side won all four of its matches, recording impressive victories: 2-0 against Dame Janet, 5-1 against St Gregory's, 3-2 against Cliftonville, and 5-0 against Garlinge.

Deputy Head of School Hannah Cheshire said: "We are very proud of our footballers. They faced tough opponents in a festival that featured many strong teams from around the district. Our team played with style and determination. The enthusiasm, commitment, and flair were evident – to win all four games they played shows strong consistency. They were fine ambassadors for the school and played with a friendly and fair spirit, which is what we instil in all of our sports at Chilton."
