The second weekend of the Cheshire County Championships in Macclesfield proved to be a triumphant affair for swimmers from across the Merseyside region, with standout performances from City of Liverpool and Wirral Metro athletes. Gold Medal Glory for Ethan Kelly and Abbie Roscoe
City of Liverpool's Ethan Kelly delivered a masterclass in endurance swimming, securing gold in the 1500m Junior Freestyle with an impressive time of 15 minutes 39.11 seconds. His performance was marked by an almost perfect split of 7 minutes 47.83 seconds at the 750m mark. Kelly continued his winning streak by claiming another gold in the 800m Junior Freestyle, clocking 8 minutes 9.61 seconds.
Wirral Metro's Abbie Roscoe also enjoyed a successful outing, earning a bronze medal in the 1500m Junior Freestyle and finishing fourth in the 800m Junior Freestyle. She added a silver medal to her collection with a strong performance in the 200m Junior Butterfly, highlighting her versatility across different stroke disciplines.
