Metro and Rail Information
From the start of service until 10am, a normal service is expected between Wolverhampton Station and Edgbaston Village. Trams are then expected to operate only between Wolverhampton Station and Grand Central/Millennium Point. Services to Edgbaston Village will resume once the parade has safely cleared and the track has been returned to Metro. For the latest information, visit the West Midlands Metro website or follow their social media channels.
There are currently no planned rail disruptions for Thursday, May 21. However, rail services are expected to be particularly busy as large numbers of supporters travel into the city centre, so please allow extra time for your journey.
Road Congestion
Roads in and around Birmingham are expected to be significantly busier than usual due to the parade and associated road closures. Areas such as Digbeth, Holloway Circus, and around the planned route are likely to experience heavy congestion from both traffic and large pedestrian crowds. Additional disruption is also expected in Birmingham’s Eastside due to ongoing HS2-related road closures.
