Kelly Osbourne: 'scary' weight loss after Ozzy death

Kelly Osbourne has admitted her weight loss following the tragic loss of her father Ozzy Osbourne is 'scary'. The 41-year-old mum and daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne said she hadn't recognised the problem and couldn't see what others who were warning her did.

'I looked like the Crypt Keeper'

Opening up about her struggle in a new interview, she said: "I looked like the f****** Crypt Keeper. I said, 'This is scary. I didn't know I looked like this'." She added: "My spine – you could see every single bone."

Kelly previously admitted she 'went well' after the death of Birmingham legend Ozzy. She said she had been in "so much pain" and couldn't see what others warning her could as she "just saw a broken person".

Hiding her appearance

She continued to The Mail on Sunday: "I wore a wig to cover my face, so you couldn't see how skinny my cheekbones really were." Kelly was incredibly close to her Black Sabbath legend dad, even dueting with him on several tracks.

She has recently said that her grief is a 'slow process' and she is having therapy but will never be the person she was before Ozzy's death.

Therapy and a 'lifetime of work'

Kelly told Hello Magazine: "You've got to fix the head before you can fix the body. It's a slow process. It's going to take me a minute. I'm not going to be fixed in a day. I'm not going to be fixed on one therapy session."

"This is a lifetime of work I've got to do and continue to do for the rest of my life. It's great discovering things about yourself [in therapy], and the reasons why I do certain things that stem from my childhood. You go all the way back and you're like: 'Oh my god, that's why I do that. That's crazy.'"

"I'm getting to know myself in a whole new way, but it's a lot more healthy, I can tell you that. I'll never be the person I was before my father died... a part of me died, too. Everything is different. I'm different. Everything has changed, but it's just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work."

Split from Sid Wilson

Kelly also announced her split from Sid Wilson in March seven months after their engagement. Sources reported that the breakup followed a difficult period and a slow unraveling.

Sid was best known for being the former DJ for the heavy metal band Slipknot until his firing from the band in August 2026. According to reports from TMZ cited by industry sources, the band had "finally had enough" of his behavior, noting that the decision to remove him was "a long time coming" rather than a sudden choice.
