An easyJet flight bound for Scotland was forced to divert after a passenger was reportedly attacked on board. The aircraft, travelling from Tenerife, was scheduled to land in Glasgow on Wednesday, April 29, but was redirected to Porto in Portugal, where police were waiting on the runway.

Incident details

Flight EZY3114 was compelled to take an alternative route following disruptive behaviour from passengers on board, with reports suggesting one passenger was assaulted. The aircraft subsequently continued its journey to Glasgow, according to the Daily Record.

Airline response

An easyJet spokesperson commented: "Flight EZY3114 from Tenerife South to Glasgow on 29 April diverted to Porto, where police met the aircraft due to passengers behaving in a disruptive manner. The flight then continued to Glasgow."
