easyJet Launches Free Twilight Bag Drop at Birmingham Airport
easyJet's new free evening bag drop at Birmingham Airport

Airline easyJet has announced a significant new service for passengers travelling from Birmingham Airport, designed to make the start of their journey smoother and less stressful.

What is the New Twilight Bag Drop Service?

The carrier is rolling out its free Twilight Bag Drop service at Birmingham, effective immediately. This initiative is specifically tailored for customers booked on early morning departures. It allows them to check in their hold luggage at the airport the evening before their flight, completely free of charge.

By dropping bags off ahead of time, travellers can bypass the traditional bag drop queues on their day of travel. This means they can proceed directly to security, potentially saving considerable time and reducing pre-flight stress. The service is expected to be particularly beneficial for those with families or bulky luggage, such as winter sports equipment.

Added Perk: Discounted Airport Parking

Alongside the bag drop convenience, easyJet is offering an additional incentive. Passengers who use the Twilight service will qualify for discounted parking in the airport's Premium Set Down car park.

To claim the reduction, customers simply need to present the baggage receipt from their evening drop-off at the NCP cabin before exiting the car park. This combined offer aims to provide a more seamless door-to-gate experience.

Official Statement and Target Travellers

Kevin Doyle, easyJet's UK Country Manager, commented on the launch. He stated: "We are always looking for new ways to make travel as easy as possible, so we are really pleased to be introducing our free Twilight Bag Drop service for our customers flying from Birmingham Airport."

He added that as families plan holidays, whether for ski trips, winter sun getaways, or breaks during the February half-term and Easter holidays, the airline remains "focused on offering greater choice and exceptional value."

The announcement, made on 12th January 2026, positions this service as a key benefit for the upcoming peak travel periods. It is part of easyJet's broader strategy to enhance its customer offering on short-haul routes from key UK bases like Birmingham.
