National Express West Midlands has revealed significant alterations to 14 key bus routes across the region, aimed at improving service reliability and efficiency. These changes, set to take effect on Sunday, March 29, will impact numerous commuters and travelers, with the majority of routes receiving revised timetables and three services ceasing operation entirely.

Timetable Revisions for Enhanced Reliability

The company is implementing timetable adjustments on several routes to address operational challenges and customer feedback. Key revisions include:

  • Route 1 | Five Ways - Acocks Green Village: Timetable revised due to the completion of Moseley works.
  • Route 11 | Wolverhampton - Underhill: A revised Sunday timetable will be introduced.
  • Routes 16 and 16A | Wolverhampton - Stourbridge and Wombourne: Timetables revised to improve reliability.
  • Route 41 | QE Hospital - Buckland End: Changes made based on the end of Moseley works and customer input.
  • Route 60 | Birmingham - Cranes Park: Increased frequency in Small Heath to better serve the area.
  • Route 72 | Chelmsley Wood - Solihull: Timetable revised for improved reliability.
  • Route 80 | Birmingham - West Bromwich: Revised timetable with additional Monday to Saturday morning journeys.
  • Routes X1 and X2 | Birmingham - Coventry and Solihull: Timetables revised to enhance reliability.

Service Changes and Discontinuations

In addition to timetable updates, three bus services will no longer be operated by National Express West Midlands. These include:
