A man has died and two others have been rushed to hospital following a serious crash on Tyburn Road in Birmingham early this morning. The incident occurred near Salford Circus in Erdington at approximately 2:17am on July 27.

West Midlands Ambulance Service reported that a car left the road, struck a tree, and rolled onto its roof. Paramedics arrived to find the driver, a man, in a critical condition. Fire crews assisted in freeing him from the vehicle before medics administered advanced life support. Despite extensive efforts, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man sustained serious injuries, while a third suffered potentially serious injuries. Both were transported under emergency conditions to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "On arrival, crews found one car had come off the road, hit a tree and rolled onto its roof. The driver, a man, was in a critical condition. After being removed from the car with the assistance of fire colleagues, medics immediately began administering advanced life support. Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene."
West Midlands Police confirmed the road would be closed for "some time." The route, a key artery in and out of the city, remained shut during the morning rush hour. Officers urged locals and drivers to avoid the area if possible. The force has been contacted for further comment.

The closure of Tyburn Road caused significant disruption for commuters, with delays reported on surrounding routes including the A38 and M6 junctions. Diversions were in place, and motorists were advised to allow extra travel time.
