Cannock Drink Drive Arrest After Mercedes Hits Parked Cars

A suspected drink driver has been arrested after a collision in Cannock, Staffordshire. The incident occurred on Wellington Drive at approximately 8:25 pm on Wednesday, May 6, when a grey Mercedes A-class struck two parked cars.

Emergency services, including the Midlands Air Ambulance, attended the scene. Staffordshire Police confirmed that a 38-year-old man from Cannock was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

No one was inside the two parked vehicles at the time of the crash.

A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following a collision in Cannock. Officers attended alongside Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service, and Midlands Air Ambulance. The man has been bailed while enquiries continue."
