A man sustained injuries after a car overturned in a multi-vehicle collision on a major road in Birmingham this morning.
West Midlands Fire Service reported that the incident on Vicarage Road in Kings Heath involved two moving cars and three unattended parked vehicles. The crash occurred shortly before 8am on Monday, 27 April.
The man was treated for injuries believed to be non-serious before being transported to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Emergency Response
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman stated: 'We were called at 7.52am to reports of a road traffic collision on Vicarage Road in Kings Heath and dispatched an ambulance to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found two cars had collided, with one vehicle resting on its side.'
She added: 'A man received treatment for injuries not thought to be serious and was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.'
Fire Service Details
A fire service spokesman explained: 'Shortly before 8am, we responded to Vicarage Road, Kings Heath. Fire engines from Billesley and Kings Norton attended, with the first arriving within four minutes of being mobilised.'
'This was a collision between two moving cars and three unattended parked cars. One of the moving cars came to rest on its side. All individuals had freed themselves from their vehicles before our arrival.'
'One person was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further checks, while another casualty was discharged at the scene. Firefighters stabilised the overturned vehicle for recovery. Vicarage Road was closed during our operations. We left the scene at 9.40am, with police colleagues in attendance.'
