Dudley Council has launched a new pothole reporting service designed to improve how issues are logged and tracked across the borough. The system, named MyStreet.Dudley, went live today (September 15) and offers residents email updates, live tracking, and an interactive map to monitor the progress of their reports.

Ed Lawrence, Dudley Council's cabinet member for transformation, said the new service responds to feedback from residents and councillors who wanted an easier and more transparent way to report potholes and track progress. "We've listened to feedback from residents and councillors who've told us they want an easier, more transparent way to report potholes and to track progress once they've made that report," Lawrence said.
"That's why we are introducing a new and improved pothole reporting service," added the cabinet member. The new website is accessible for residents to report potholes on local streets.
Features and future expansion
The service provides automatic updates, clear visual progress information, and an interactive map, making it easier to see what's happening from the start of a report to its completion. Lawrence told residents this is the first step in improving how people can report highway issues.
"We're starting with potholes today, but this will be built over time, and it will become the central place to report all your highway and environmental issues, such as fly-tipping in the future," he said.
The launch marks a significant upgrade to the council's existing reporting infrastructure, with the system designed to serve as a central hub for future reports on various issues beyond potholes. The council expects the new platform to streamline communication between residents and highway maintenance teams.
