Dudley Road in Brierley Hill was closed in both directions on the evening of 14 September following a crash in which one car collided into the back of another. Two police cars were stationed at the scene, blocking traffic, and officers confirmed that no injuries were reported.
Police and recovery at the scene
Officers at the scene confirmed the collision involved a car hitting the rear of another vehicle. A recovery vehicle was present to remove the car from the road. Traffic on Brierley Hill High Street was unaffected, but the section of Dudley Road past the traffic lights was cordoned off, with police directing vehicles back the other way.
Bus diversions in place
NX buses confirmed that services were diverted due to the closure. A spokesperson for the operator said the road was “closed due to an emergency incident” and that “6 and X10 will be diverting via: Level Street and Waterfront Way.” The closure was in effect during the evening, and motorists were advised to seek alternative routes while the incident was being dealt with.
