A heavy goods vehicle fire has forced the closure of a section of the M54 motorway in Shropshire, with drivers warned to expect delays amid an extreme heat warning.
Motorway Shut Between Wolverhampton and Albrighton
The M54 is currently closed westbound between junction 2, near Wolverhampton, and junction 3, near Albrighton. West Mercia Fire and Rescue Service is at the scene, alongside National Highways traffic officers.
Motorists have been advised that delays are likely on approach to the closure. The incident comes as the region experiences an extreme heat warning, with temperatures expected to soar.
