Drivers on the M6 faced significant delays this morning after a crash near Birmingham's Spaghetti Junction. The collision occurred on the southbound carriageway near the A38 at approximately 6:30am on June 16.
Traffic Impact
Long queues built up between Junction 6 for the A38 Tyburn Road and Junction 5 for Castle Bromwich. All lanes were temporarily closed, bringing traffic to a standstill around 6:30am. The lanes have since been reopened, but residual delays remain.

According to traffic monitoring service Inrix: "Long delays due to earlier accident on M6 Southbound, from J6 A38 Tyburn Road (Spaghetti Junction) to J5 A452 Chester Road (Castle Bromwich). All lanes have been re-opened." An earlier update noted that all traffic was held at 6:30am.
