A motorcyclist remains in a critical condition in hospital after a severe collision with a car on Hagley Road West in Oldbury. The incident occurred near the Wolverhampton Road McDonald's at approximately 2:40 PM on Monday, April 7, 2026.

West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics responded swiftly to the scene, treating the male motorcyclist for what were described as life-threatening injuries. He was subsequently transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for urgent medical care. As of Tuesday morning, April 8, West Midlands Police confirmed that the biker is still hospitalized in a serious condition.
The driver of the car involved in the collision was not injured and is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

Following the collision, police sealed off the junction of Hagley Road West and Birch Road for several hours to facilitate emergency operations and initial investigations.
