West Midlands Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a collision with a bus in Birmingham. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening at around 6:15pm on the A4040 Alcester Road South, near the junction with Oak Tree Lane.
Fatal Collision Details
Emergency services were called to the scene, but the motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver was uninjured and is assisting police with their enquiries. The road was closed for several hours while investigators carried out forensic examinations.
Police have not yet named the victim, pending formal identification and notification of next of kin. A post-mortem examination is expected to take place in due course.

Sergeant Paul Hughes from the West Midlands Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage that could help our investigation. We understand this is a distressing time for the family of the deceased, and we are doing everything we can to establish the circumstances."
