New Parking Restrictions in Brentwood Borough

Essex County Council has issued a traffic order introducing new parking, loading, and stopping controls across parts of Brentwood Borough. The order takes effect on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Key Changes

Brentwood High Street (between Crown Street and near St Thomas Road): The existing restricted parking zone is revoked. No waiting at any time and no loading at any time will apply on defined stretches on both sides. Distances include 97 metres and 133 metres on the north-west side, and four sections of 36 metres, 29 metres, 38 metres and 4 metres on the south-east side. Existing loading and taxi bays, disabled bays, and the pedestrian crossing will remain unchanged.

Stondon Massey (Ongar Road and Reeves Close): No waiting at any time will apply near the junctions with Reeves Close and Exchange Way. Reeves Close will have no waiting for 10 metres from its junction with Ongar Road. Two disabled permit holder bays, labelled BRE001 and BRE002, will be marked on Ongar Road near Exchange Way.

Hutton (Willow Close and Great Oaks): Former weekday one-hour restrictions will be replaced by no waiting on Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm, for the specified lengths.
